Ungen's Author of the Month - January!
Featured Writer of January ‘09 – LovinJackson
Looking for a good read to cozy up to this January, go no farther than Tara, aka LovinJackson’s bio page http://www.supernaturalville.net/viewuser.php?uid=890 . Tara has been a member of the Ungen family since May of 2007. In that time, she has managed to post 19 stories, all of which are well worth the read – Kel (kwater)
Just check out what Ridley C. James has to say:
Tara is amazingly talented. I have watched her writing improve tremendously over the last couple of years. She is like a sponge, taking in everything around her. Tara will ask for criticism and then actually take it in stride, working to improve on what she's done without letting her ego get in the way. She always finishes what she starts, which when I was her age was not something I could brag about. Her dialogue is great, and one is always able to pick characters out of her story without being told who is speaking, another skill it took me a lot longer to grasp.
I haven't read her Stargate Atlantis work, but her story A Matter of Faith http://www.supernaturalville.net/viewstory.php?sid=2505 , which was an alternate version to 4.10, I think shows how she has grown. I love her story Going Under http://www.supernaturalville.net/viewstory.php?sid=1049 , because of the descriptions she uses when Caleb is drowning. I could feel what that was like. It made my chest hurt reading it. I have always thought Friendly Fire the Alternate http://www.supernaturalville.net/viewstory.php?sid=726 version is my
favorite. Now keep in mind, that was a challenge from me, but one she took up without reservation. She used what I started and made it her own. I liked her version better than mine. (grin).
She has great plots and keeps to the most important part of story telling at least in my mind and that is the depth of the characters. Besides being a talented writer, she is an amazing vidder, too.
